Shock-vibration sensor
Gestecno’s shock-vibration sensors are accelerometers that provide an electrical output signal (4-20 mA) proportional to the vector sum of the accelerations on the X, Y and Z axes. It starts operating at very low frequencies and allows not to detect the acceleration of gravity, that way the measurement is indipendent from the inclination of the sensor compared to the earth’s axis. Thanks to an internal microcontroller the highest peak of the instantaneous value is maintained for a certain period of time (from 1 sec to 1 hour) thus making it possible to read the analogue value even with the normal control units used in geotechnical-structural monitoring.
