Displacement transducers
The displacement transducers are commonly used to run on automatically and continuously the measurements of borehole rod extensometers. It is necessary to install one displacement transducer for each point of measure in order to transform the mechanical movement of the rod into an electrical signal.
They are entirely made of stainless steel and are equipped with suitable fittings for a proper installation on the head of strain gauges. They are also available in a variety of ranges.
Generally, the electric cables of the single transducers are wired in a single multipolar cable that comes out of the protective cover and reaches the centralization panel or the automatic acquisition system.
